Heike Weis Hyder

Caring attention, compassion, and patience are essential for me in the human encounter.

My attitude is pragmatic, solution-oriented, and related to life, accompanying each patient according to their own individual nature and in relation to their specific orientation in society and future aspirations. In this way, I help individuals come to terms with suffering such that healing can occur.

Behind individual and familial injuries, old wounds often exist which can lead to various forms of suffering. These wounded levels attack our mental, emotional and physical health, upsetting our sense of well-being and coping ability around others. They result in destructive developments in ourselves and in our relationships, causing profound consequences in present and future life.

Many unpredictable and challenging symptoms appear in psychological disturbances and in complex bodily syndromes such as cardiovascular disorders, migraines, and chronic pain.

In the face of such complex forms of suffering it is important not to chase after random symptoms. Instead, taking the time to discover the underlying causes and conditions of the symptoms can then release the potential positive development hidden within the symptoms.

Usually, it becomes clear that just thinking of new or better ways alone is not sufficient, when no practical path forward can be seen or managed. In such cases, carefully observing how the still unconscious soul reacts to the unbearable ‚Deadlock’ can prove helpful.

The unconscious is thus given meaning and importance, because through the unconscious contact with vital, individual potential opens within us.

Not only does the psyche exist, it is existence itself.
— Carl Gustav Jung, CW11, §18

Access to the unconscious reveals itself especially through dreams but also through our body, and in thoughts and feelings about others, ourselves, and conflicts of everyday life. Creative expression, such as painting and writing, can help give image and voice to previously unconscious blocking patterns.

Together, as we address these dynamics, the development of previously unconscious healthy parts of the personality can develop. This encounter can lead to their integration into the overall personality, creating new opportunities for action and life.

Specific approaches, frequency and duration of therapy are unique to each individual. Fundamental psychological restructuring takes a corresponding commitment to the process from both myself and the patient. Relief is often felt within the first sessions, which is reinforced through insight and sensitivity in a longer therapeutic process, facillitating durable changes in conflict management, deepening relationships with oneself and others, growth of consciousness, and altogether a manifold resonance with life.

The goal is not what we experience but how and to what purpose we engage in what we experience! Listening to life and the deeper streams of consciousness opens one to vitality and meaning. A growing sense of inner peace provides a foundation for both suffering and joy.

Medications are prescribed when indicated and deemed appropriate, but only after careful consultation and in close collaboration with one's family doctor or other specialists to guarantee thorough medical care and to ensure the welfare of the patient.
